About Grégory Darcy
Grégory Darcy
Grégory Darcy is a French-Swiss choreographer, filmmaker, theater director, and former aerospace engineer who masterfully dissolves the boundaries between art, science, and human inclusion.
After a distinguished scientific career—which included working as a visiting researcher for NASA in Houston—Darcy transitioned definitively to the performing arts in 2014, and went on to found DieTanzKompanie in 2019 in Esslingen, Germany.
As a pioneering professional inclusive ensemble, this company uniquely unites dancers with and without disabilities, scientists, and AI-driven robots. Darcy’s choreographic, theatrical, and cinematic works deeply explore the intersections of performance art (dance, theater, film), hard sciences (quantum physics, human-machine interaction), and an expanded concept of inclusion that goes beyond human boundaries. Working internationally as a freelance artist, Darcy creates visually arresting, intellectually stimulating, and emotionally resonant productions that actively redefine contemporary movement and accessibility for the modern stage and screen.
